SportInspired work alongside the council to improve physical activity and nutrition in schools and the wider community. We achievethis through:

  • Fun, inclusive sessions in schools to inspire children and their parents to eat healthily and stay fit.- Multi-activity sports and nutrition festival days for whole year groups of primary school students; supported by local secondary school Sports Leaders and locally available sports clubs
  • Organising and funding sports clubs in schools – these encourage children who are inactive, as well as those who already attend clubs/activities to be part of a supportive, fun and enriching environment to create life-long active habits
  • Targeted programmes for families to increase activity levels and work cooperatively towards healthy lifestyle goals. Fun sessions that engage parents and children to combine physical activity with nutrition information – all sculpted to the needs of families and using material designed with an external nutritional expert

In short – fun ways for whole communities to live happier, healthier lives!
