Emotional health and wellbeing

Health Education Partnership is able to support schools and settings to continue and enhance their work around emotional health and wellbeing.

Areas we are able to provide support and training include: Social, Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL), Youth Mental Health First Aid Course, Mindfulness in Schools Project, staff wellbeing (including coaching and counselling), anti-bullying, bereavement in schools, Philosophy for Children, developing a culture of small group work, enhancing pupil voice and wellbeing strategy development.

Attending to a child’s emotional health and wellbeing is essential to their social development and educational attainment and achievement, which in turn impacts their health and social outcomes in adult life. Schools have a statutory duty to promote the health and wellbeing of their students and there are a variety of creative and inspiring programmes and resources which can enable school staff to help their students build emotional resilience and literacy and develop high aspirations for themselves.

Please contact Becky Casey for further advice and guidance of the support Health Education Partnership can provide regarding PSHE education and emotional health and wellbeing.
