Children face lots of different types of change in life. They may find change fun and exciting, but also scary and worrying. At this time of year, you may have pupils preparing to transition from primary to secondary school. Young Minds 360 schools have provided a number of resources you can use to help your pupils cope with the transition and understand how they’re feeling about it.
These resources – aimed for both Year 6 and Year 7 pupils – will help children face some of their fears and worries about moving to secondary school. They’ve included activities that will encourage pupils to find solutions or strategies to manage their feelings. Learning about transition and how to cope with it will prepare your pupils for the many other changes they face in life.
